Computational Fluid Dynamics

Techsburg offers a complete range of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis solutions. Whether your problem is simple or complex, or if you need partial or complete program support, Techsburg engineers have the resources and experience to get the job done right.
Expertise:
Techsburg’s engineers have over 20 years combined experience in CFD for a wide range of applications including:
- Turbomachinery design and operation
- Aircraft performance
- Acoustics and noise reduction
- Transitional flow
- Hypersonic flow
- Missile / launcher integration
- Ballistic missile defense
- Chemical and biological defense
Techsburg’s engineers have experience using a wide variety of both commercial and government CFD tools. Click here for details on our hardware and software tools. Our engineers can also tailor your program approach through the development and incorporation of in-house tools for grid and solution automation, as well as rapid data processing.
Ultimately, state-of-the-art software and the fastest hardware mean little if you don’t have the right people to take advantage of their full potential. Let Techsburg help your program reach its full potential!
CFD Validation:
In addition to CFD analysis, Techsburg engineers participate extensively in efforts to validate results with experimental test data. Techsburg engineers can also provide wind tunnel testing services that include design of custom hardware, data acquisition system setup, data collection, data reduction and flow visualization. Test articles can also be designed by Techsburg engineers, and manufactured in Techsburg’s precision machining and fabrication shop. Please take a look at our case studies for examples of integrated CFD, design, manufacturing, test, and validation work done by Techsburg.
Resources:
Techsburg currently employs a 28-processor, in-house Linux parallel computing cluster that can support simulations of 15+ million cells. Cluster nodes are comprised of off-the-shelf hardware networked together via gigabit ethernet. The cluster can be readily and affordably expanded for increased computing power. Our CFD solvers are optimized to take full advantage of these parallel computing capabilities.
